2018 update: a lot of these no longer work. but leaving up in case they start working again, and for historical interest.
(More coming soon, including yours if you let us know on the forum and we like it!)
Install MeowBit, then try these in Firefox:
http://feens.bit (a lot of people use that one as a test because it’s short and easy to remember, and has bright colors so you immediately know if it works. lol.)

This:
is a mirror of badquaker.com
http://cryptovalidate.bit Free open source software for easy verification of crypto currency addresses in PHP.
http://cryptoformat.bit Free open source software for easy human readable crypto prices.
http://converter4coin.bit Foreign exchange rates for crypto coins.
http://cryptonit.bit/ coin exchange. I haven’t used them, don’t know much about them except that the site does work.
Here is a site with list of many more .bit sites:
Click the tab Surf .Bit and then click on each letter. This site automatically updates within a day with all newly added .bit domains that actually have a site of some sort (instead of being registered only, with no website). Many of them are just parked with a placeholder page. A few of them are websites, but not many of them have much “there” there.
OTHER RESOURCES
http://bit.no.com/ Very cool Dot-Bit proxy. It’s easy to use, no install, but doesn’t offer the security features that MeowBit does. This proxy is sort of like “training wheels for dot-bit.”
What we really need, and what the world needs, is for you to start making .bit sites and spreading the word.
Who will build the Dot-Bit roads without central planning? You will! Get out and start Dot-Bitting today!
At first your sites don’t need to be extravagant. Just get in there and start Dot-Bitting, and build up from there.
If you set up a .bit site, send us the URL. We’ll probably add it here!
MWD’s one (long)-page website http://feens.bit is an interesting repository built on .bit. It’s utterly simple but very useful. It has all the torrent magnet links of the first 300 Freedom Feens episodes and all the Feens’ movies and music. MWD says “If we were droned and all our other sites removed, I wouldn’t mind if that site alone was all that people had – because it links to distributed archives of much of my life’s work on one page.”
IF A DOT-BIT NAME ISN’T RESOLVING, sometimes it will show this “404” page that someone’s set up somewhere. Sometimes it even shows up for pages that WILL show up, and you have to hit refresh to get rid of this and show the right page. If this shows up, don’t click on it. It’s got re-directs and pop-up ads:
Here is a list of .bit Websites that MWD registered. Some are parked for future mirrors of his existing sites, some are parked for friends:

Hi, i have a problem :). I registred domain from namecoin, add name servers, add domain to my hosting but domain not open. I have a modul for browser and other .bit domain open.
Am I missing something?
Got it set up, although downloading the Namecoin database took about a week. Lots of dead links amongst the sites linked above.
I just want to say a great big THANK YOU for MeowBit, this is a great piece of software. I can only vaguely hope to be able to contribute to the .BIT revolution in a way that matches it, you’ve sure set the bar high.
This is so much fun, it’s like the internet pre-1985. I’m sure a lot of my old Fidonet buddies will want to play in here …
hi how do I buy name coins so I can register a site
It’s died on Namecoin. However, Dot-Bip: Censorship-Proof Domain Names Done Right. via BipCoin.

Whitepaper: https://bipcoin.org/ASSETS/WP/Dot-Bip_whitepaper.pdf

Dot-Bip fixes what Namecoin got wrong. Will be easy to use and view, cheaper than ICANN domains, yet resistant to domain squatting.
This is great news for anyone who’s even a little concerned that the new US president has threatened to silence journalists.
Also: if this works it will likely drive up the cost of BipCoin. So mine some now and/or buy some on Cryptopia while they’re 1/3 US cent each. (Not a guarantee).

Has this project died? I hope not. Someone needs to create a database of DNS servers for .bit website for those who do not want to install a plug in or an app. I can’t find it anywhere.
